Located in the heart of Brunswick on Lygon Street, 98 Lygon Street Bar & Bistro brings a modern twist to the classic European dining experience. To complement the venue's refined interior and understated elegance, I was commissioned to design and execute bespoke hand-painted signage that would enhance its street presence without overshadowing its heritage charm.

The project began with the development of a custom logo and visual identity, drawing inspiration from European typography and the surrounding Brunswick streetscape. This branding was then applied across six street-facing windows using traditional signwriting techniques and lettering enamel.

A standout feature included two 24-karat gold gilded windows — one on the main entrance and the other on the front door — designed to elevate the venue’s frontage and create a striking moment of visual impact. Additional subtle yet elegant touches of gold leaf were incorporated into the venue’s wayfinding signage, tying the identity together with a cohesive finish.

The project also included a hand-painted lightbox insert, ensuring the venue’s branding remained visible and refined both day and night. Each element was executed by hand, reflecting the same level of care and craftsmanship found within the venue itself.
