Part 2 - Peroni & Aperol Activation

Arbory Afloat, Melbourne's premier floating bar and restaurant, transforms its theme annually to offer patrons a fresh and immersive experience. For the 2024/25 season, the venue embraced the allure of the Italian island of Capri, presenting an Italian beach club ambiance complete with striped umbrellas, terrazzo flooring, and sorbet-hued walls adorned with hand-painted illustrations.

I was engaged to undertake the design, fabrication, and painting of bespoke signage to enhance the venue's Capri-inspired aesthetic. The project spanned several weeks and encompassed a comprehensive suite of signage solutions, including on-site wayfinding, sponsorship displays, and elements to ensure cohesive brand representation throughout the space.

The creative process commenced with an in-depth exploration of Capri's distinctive style, focusing on vibrant color palettes and Mediterranean motifs. Collaborating closely with Arbory Afloat's design team, we developed signage that seamlessly integrated with the venue's décor, capturing the essence of an Italian beach club. Each sign was meticulously crafted and painted on-site, ensuring authenticity and attention to detail.

The completed signage played a pivotal role in transforming Arbory Afloat into a Capri-inspired oasis on the Yarra River. Guests were greeted by welcoming signs that guided them through the venue, enhancing their overall experience. The cohesive branding and thoughtfully designed sponsorship displays contributed to the venue's vibrant atmosphere, receiving positive feedback from patrons and adding to the allure of Melbourne's summer scene.

This project was a rewarding opportunity to blend traditional craftsmanship with thematic design, resulting in a unique and engaging environment for Arbory Afloat's visitors.
