“Home” was a private commission created as a one-of-a-kind artwork exploring the meaning and comfort associated with home. The piece was designed in a stained-glass-inspired style, combining bold geometric forms, rich green tones and custom lettering into a detailed architectural composition.

The word “HOME” was gilded by hand using 24-carat gold leaf, creating a reflective centrepiece that shifts with the surrounding light. Hand-textured glass introduces and variegated copper leaf further depth and variation across the surface, contrasting with the clean gold lettering and dark outlines.

The finished glass panel was set within a handmade Tasmanian oak frame, bringing warmth and a natural finish to the piece. Combining traditional gilding, decorative glasswork and timber craftsmanship, the completed commission celebrates the beauty of handmade objects and the personal significance of home.
